... the Chamber of Commerce and Industry is ready to support the production of content dedicated to the economy and the development of the private sector
On Tuesday, May 21, 2019 in the evening, the General Directorate of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Burkina Faso (CCI-BF) hosted a dinner-debate with about forty journalists, members of the Economic Press Club.
On the menu of exchanges, a presentation of the CCI-BF and the actions it conducts for Burkinabè economic operators followed by sharing of experience on how to make live the Press Club. In fact, after having noted the low share of economic subjects in journalistic productions, the Press Club was set up to serve as a framework for strengthening the capacity of its members; anything that will give them more abilities to initiate big topics on the economy. "We intend to strengthen the training sessions on topics of interest to the members, so we invite you to submit your proposals for topics for the practical organization of these courses," said Issaka KARGOUGOU, Director General of the CCI-BF.
In addition to the free training sessions offered to Club members, regular "master-class" meetings will be held to allow Club members to interact with leading figures from the Burkinabe private sector presented as role models. of success. The story of their journey will serve as a compass for the younger generation of entrepreneurs.
Finally, the Consular Institution is willing to facilitate access to certain sources of information and even personalities as far as possible. The icing on the cake, firm promise was made to encourage and support the production of programs or the writing of articles dedicated to the economy, finance or the private sector.
The Economic Press Club was set up on April 24, 2015; it brings together about forty journalists from different media outlets (television, radio, print, online press) with a particular interest in topics related to economics, finance and private sector development.
